Poem by Gerry (12 years)

I called her Gerry with a “G” sound and she was very insistent its pronounced like Jerry. I understood why when I realized her full name is Geraldine. She was the first of the about ten kids that came and she had this tiny voice that made me think she’s automatically shy. She wasn’t.

The following is her poem:

My lovely dolly

Her name is Gerry

I love her so much

With no one to match

Her blue eyes

Look really nice

Her hair so fine

Just like mine

By Gerry (12 years)
